My own terriers

My lovely little Mahilia
(Crispy Coquette 20 months old)

Double the dogs and double the pleasures – that is so true – if it suits the dogs ;-)
(But I have never had second thoughts about this.)

Mahilia has a habit of crawling near to Jackson to get warm and comfort. Jackson lets her do it, she can do anything if it is up to him. Here she is only 4 month old.
At a later point the warm bed was thrown away. Mahilia slowly eat her way through it, with her sharp baby teeth.

It had to come one day. Mahilia was a grown up, and her first heat was near. Jackson fell in love and Mahilia was willingly turning her behind to him.
Jackson was send away on a 2 week holiday, where he was visiting the poodle Sofus, who is one of Jackson's old friends. Mahilia was home alone, she was lonely and we had to occupy her with games all day, until the big day of Jackson's return came up.

See the joyful meeting !

Jackson had a new plastic crate to sleep in, but he can't have it on his own.
Mahilia has a special technique when she wants to get inside his crate.
First she enter head first with her tail wagging, then you hear Jackson make a deep growling sound saying: leave me alone….
Then she turns around and presses her behind right into his nose, and Jackson gets a distanced glance in his eyes, and in a few seconds she has pushed him so much to the side that there is room for her in the crate too...

"Haven't we a great time Jackson ??"

Dogshows – a lifestile:
If you have told me years ago that I would be crazy about dogshows, I would have laughed, But when you get into this game it is hard to stop. Suddenly the strangers and the shows becomes friends, and dogshows becomes like friends get-together.

But not all dogshows turns out as planned.
On the left you will se, the photos that for good reason never made it to the show resultpage (march 1998) . Mahilia was on the judges table, when some dogs on the floor in another ring started a fight. I could feel it in the line, how her small body shaked, she was on-guard and wanted to be in the fight – just for a little fun....
So when we got down on the floor, Mahilia wanted to fight the bitch next to her. Her eyes was shiny and her tail was wagging, while she was fighting with all her power to get to the nearby bitch.
People standing around the ring started to laugh and I had to carry Mahilia out of the ring after the judgement.

Once again I have acknowledged that I will never be a great handler, so the job has been turned over to the safe hands of Inge Lonsdale, as you can see on the photo below form the International Dogshow in Sunds where Mahilia won her first CC.
